The Basic Methods of Fine Art Printing. The fine art printing as a form of art has been in existence long before even technology had been thought of and it was done using traditionally made equipment. The art pieces of fine arts have been done by art masters and others have been made by well-known artists that have put a mark in the art world. To make a fine art piece, the artist takes time to do the art and it has to be unique and attractive to be considered as one. There are four well known methods in which fine art is made and they include; planography, screen printing, relief and intaglio. The named method has been used to make the most known pieces and still under use. Below is a brief explanation of how all the above are done. The most and longest use method of doing fine art printing has been the relief method. The method starts when the artist uses a sharp cutting tool to cut out a piece of the material they want to use in the art. Knives were used to curve out the wanted shapes out of wood. The engravings on the wood are then applied with ink then pressed against the intended surface to print the art out. A little amount of pressure is then applied to get all the paint on the paper. The paper and the wood are given time to dry so as when they are being removed they do not tear up.
Getting To The Point – Art
The planography method is done by ink being spread on a piece of stone and then removed. The stone is applied with a layer of oil for easy displacement of the artwork from the stone. The paint is then applied with care not to pass through the layer of oil. Removing of the art work is done after the piece has dried up well fro completion.
Getting To The Point – Art
The method of screen-printing is done by application of special glue on the surface that are not to me printed. The method was the last to be invented and it is used to print many copies and is the most used form of printing currently. It is the most spread method of printing and the work can be put on any surface and the most used are cloths and papers. With intaglio, pieces of wood are curved with the areas to be printed coming out of the wood. The protruding art piece in the wood is place in ink to pick the paint and then pressed against the surface to be worked on. The most used surface for this type of art is paper and cloth but it can be applied on any surface that can take the ink. The printing in all the methods have all sizes and can be done to produce multiple pieces at the same time. You therefore have to weigh the time-frame left before undertaking the task.
